The Cathedral Pipe Organ

Help us build a beautiful instrument for the Cathedral of SS. Simon and Jude in Phoenix, Arizona

The Cathedral Choir of Phoenix promotes the use of the authentic forms of Catholic music (primarily Gregorian chant and Renaissance polyphony) along with congregational hymnody and organ music within the context of the Roman Rite.  Each week the choir seeks to bring about excellence in choral music and to exemplify the rubrics and instructions given to us by Holy Mother Church.  Therefore it is only fitting that we finally install a pipe organ at the Cathedral.

"In the Latin Church the pipe organ is to be held in high esteem, for it is the traditional musical instrument which adds a wonderful splendor to the Church's ceremonies and powerfully lifts up man's mind to God and to higher things." - Vatican II, Sacrosanctum Concilium

The Cathedral Music Staff are always glad to answer any questions about the pipe organ project and are available after every Sunday Mass.
